I was born in Seoul, South Korea, and spent eight years living in India, becoming fluent in both Korean and Hindi while gaining a deep appreciation for both cultures. During my time in India, I learned to create traditional Diwali patterns, intricate designs meant to welcome guests and bring auspicious energy, which left a lasting impression on me. Similarly, I was captivated by the traditional patterns adorning hanok-style architecture at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Korea. Inspired by the beauty of both art forms, I merged Indian and Korean motifs into a unified design that reflects my dual identity—rooted in Korea yet shaped by India—and serves as the foundation of my personal and creative expression.
