I was born in Seoul, South Korea, but spent eight transformative years living in India. This experience allowed me to become fluent in both Korean and Hindi and deeply understand the cultures of both countries. While in India, I learned to create traditional patterns used during Diwali, the Festival of Lights. These intricate designs, often made in front of houses to welcome guests and bring auspicious energy, left a lasting impression on me. Similarly, when visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace in Korea, I was captivated by the traditional Korean patterns that adorned the historic hanok-style architecture.

The similarities and unique beauty of these two traditional art forms inspired me to merge them into a unified design. By blending the intricate Indian Diwali patterns with the elegant Korean motifs, I crafted a pattern that embodies my dual identity. This creation represents my personal journey: rooted in Korea yet shaped by my years in India. Through this fusion, I express not just where I come from, but who I am—a bridge between two rich cultural heritages, forming the foundation of my identity and brand.
