I have always wanted to create a YouTube channel to share the gift God blessed me with from a young age. The piano has been one of my primary means of expressing worship and praise. Interestingly, I did not initially learn to read sheet music and did not enjoy playing the piano during my childhood. However, my time in India sparked a profound change. In an environment where openly expressing Christian faith was restricted, my desire to praise God grew stronger. The piano became my discreet yet powerful tool for worship when raising my voice was not an option. This was particularly important because the church I attended operated in secrecy in a basement, and we feared discovery and expulsion from the country.

I decided to name my YouTube channel "Chan to Praise," reflecting the Korean character "찬" (meaning "to praise") and connecting it to my name, Chan. I also designed a banner and profile picture that evoke a sense of calm and peace, ensuring viewers feel a serene atmosphere while engaging with the content. This project not only allowed me to create a platform for sharing my music and worship but also helped me enhance my channel's presentation and develop my ability to play and share more music.
